St Ives Park & Ride

Work starts next week on doubling the size of the car park at St Ives Park & Ride. It will cost £2m and the number of parking spaces will increase from 500 to 1000. Huntingdon & St Ives News & Crier ( 8 November, page 13).

  1. Don't really understand this, I have never seen the car park full, and who on earth is going to divert from the A14 to go on the park and ride from St Ives to Cambridge? Who ever heard of a Park and ride 15 miles from the city !!

Unreal, who thinks this stuff up? They cold have spent 2 million fixing the flooding and putting lights down it. Oh well, when its not your money who cares !

  3. Whatever is the case, I can't imagine that the person that thinks these ideas up actually uses the guided bus!

  4. Might have been better to spend the money on a proper waiting shelter at St Ives similar to what they have at Longstanton.
