Cambridgeshire County Council is organising a late night cycle ride between Cambridge and St Ives to celebrate the new solar stud lights that were recently installed along the cycle track. Any cyclist is welcome to join in. Groups will start from either end at 10.30pm on Friday 12 April. Meet at the Golden Hind, Milton Road, or at St Ives Town Hall. Refreshments will be provided at Longstanton Park & Ride until midnight.

Several comments about the cycle ride in the Cambridge News here.
The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway linking St Ives, Cambridge and Trumpington opened on 7 August 2011. This blog is now closed to new posts and comments. It was set up for people who travelled the busway, either as bus passengers, or users of the cycle/footpath such as pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. The blog remains visible as a historic record. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the blog over the past decade.
No rain forecast, then....
ReplyDeleteProbably not enough to flood the cycle track!
DeleteIt was great fun.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I did it! Sociable, quirky and on bikes. What was not to like?
Glad you enjoyed it. I wasn't able to be there, and there;s been nothing so far in the local papers, so it would be interesting to hear how many people took part and what the refreshments were like at Longstanton. Was it still raining when the event set off?
