Stagecoach East are in the process of gaining feedback from their busway passengers regarding 'audio stop announcements' at each bus stop.
As noted in an earlier posting on this blog, Stagecoach have also been introducing visual stop information on routes A and B. The survey is seeking passengers' opinions on 'visual stop display' too.
If you complete a survey form and provide your name and contact details, you'll be entered into a prize draw to win up to a month's free travel.
The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway linking St Ives, Cambridge and Trumpington opened on 7 August 2011. This blog is now closed to new posts and comments. It was set up for people who travelled the busway, either as bus passengers, or users of the cycle/footpath such as pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. The blog remains visible as a historic record. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the blog over the past decade.
It was a bit daft surveying existing passengers for their comments on audio and visual stop announcements. They normally know where they are going! . It's people who are new to the bus services who are given a huge amount of confidence by these systems, and thereby encouraged.to use them. In London and in other countries they are standard features, and the bus services there are easy to use as a result.
