The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway linking St Ives, Cambridge and Trumpington opened on 7 August 2011. This blog is now closed to new posts and comments. It was set up for people who travelled the busway, either as bus passengers, or users of the cycle/footpath such as pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. The blog remains visible as a historic record. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the blog over the past decade.

Swavesey Busway Stop
There’s a notice up at Swavesey Busway Stop saying that it will be closed on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September, presumably for trackworks on the busway. Passengers are advised that buses will be diverted to use the nearby bus stops on Over Road. Presumably this means that journeys will take longer, and may result in the timetable becoming chaotic. So allow extra time for your journey.

Please note this says that:
"Due to the nature of the works and the fact that we are using the opportunity to carry out tree and hedge works the maintenance track will also be closed to all other users."
and
next weekend (22/23) it will be closed between Longstanton and Oakington.
Also note that the A14 will be closed between Bar Hill and Oakington this weekend for installation of the new bridge decks over the A14 at Bar Hill.
