There are no reports, as yet, of either closure on the Go-Whippet website.
Extract: << A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire County Council said: “Whippet have made the commercial decision to withdraw the C and X3 services from 10 November. We are currently discussing with other operators whether they can provide a replacement service of some kind. We will let residents know the outcome of these discussions as soon as possible.”
Whippet was approached for a comment but was unable to give an official statement at this time. >>
Was this inevitable?
The 'X3' service has been reprieved until March at least. No word on 'C' service, though. https://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/cambridge-news/whippet-bus-service-papworth-x3-15292752
ReplyDeleteThere are reports elsewhere of massive cancellations on the C this week, due to staff sickness. Doubtless Whippet's first priority at this stage is to utilise their Busway-trained drivers on the U contract rather than on a service which will be a thing of the past in 3 weeks.
ReplyDeleteAh the "U" is a university or Eddington contract service?
