Because of the Guy Fawkes Bonfire on Midsummer Common, buses A, B and D will be diverted between the hours of 6.30 and 8.30pm on Monday 5 November. Stops located on Victoria Avenue, Jesus Lane, New Square, Maid's Causeway and Round Church Street will not be served during this period. It’s not clear from this Stagecoach announcement what city centre bus stops services A and D towards St Ives will call at given that New Square stops will be out of action.
The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway linking St Ives, Cambridge and Trumpington opened on 7 August 2011. This blog is now closed to new posts and comments. It was set up for people who travelled the busway, either as bus passengers, or users of the cycle/footpath such as pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. The blog remains visible as a historic record. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the blog over the past decade.

Bonfire night diversions to busway services
Cambridge's annual firework display takes place on Tuesday 5 November on Midsummer Common. This necessitates some temporary road closures and changes to bus route A, B and C between 6.30 and 8.30pm.
During this closure busway services will not serve the inbound stop (i.e. towards Cambridge) in Roundchurch St and both the stops in both directions at New Square. Passengers wishing to travel from New Square should use Drummer Street as an alternative for routes A, B and C.
